Water Withdrawal and Reuse
ATX Group adopts three water use strategies: reduce, reuse, and recycle. The main source of water-use is tap water, with a total withdrawal of 2.925 million tons in 2024, a decrease of 2.5% in water withdrawal compared to the previous year, and water intensity (including rainwater) per revenue decreased by 4.6%.
Regarding water resource recycling and reuse, ATX Group has established water recycling system at Suzhou, Kunshan, Shanghai, and Weihai, achieving water recycling rates of 39.6%, 37.0%, 35.7%, and 5.8% respectively. The plants treat wastewater to purified water standards for reuse within the facilities, significantly reducing both water consumption pressure and wastewater discharge. In 2024, ATX Group invested approximately 5.4 million RMB in water resource recycling and reuse projects across all facilities. We remain committed to continuing investments in water recycling systems at all plants and working toward enhancing the circular economy benefits of water resource utilization.
Wastewater Management
A total of 2.501 million tons of wastewater was discharged in 2024, with a total loss of 0.42 million tons. The main loss include cooling tower evaporation, daily office water usage, as well as cleaning and landscaping activities.
